Good morning Beautiful! When you have objectives, vision and a goal for your life, have you ever noticed how tempting it can be to try to “make it happen” in your own strength? How easy it is to feel like “if I just do one more thing” that all of what you are working towards will happen. While it’s true that your effort is a required part of the success equation, know that it’s not the anchor for your success.
Our foundation – our first “go-to” is Christ. Christ IS your anchor. Christ gives you the POWER when you trust in Him. Over and over again in the Bible, God shares that he wants us to “lean on, rely on and trust in God” – two prominent places are Psalms 37:3-5 and Psalm 62:8, where the word says “Trust in, lean on, rely on, and have confidence in Him at all times, you people, pour out your hearts before Him. God is a refuge for us (a fortress). Your safe place is in God. He wants to be the one you rely on for everything, even before you rely on your own strength.
Take your “goals” to the next level, and as your number one goal in life, give your all to Him. Trust in, lean on and rely on Him. His best is working for your good!
Foundational Scripture for Today: “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain…” Hebrews 6:19
