Good morning Beautiful! When you allow yourself time to heal, it is a form of caring for yourself. You may or may not have gone through something traumatic recently, but everyone goes through experiences daily that deplete your storage. Healing comes in many forms. Getting adequate rest, releasing forgiveness towards others so that you aren’t carrying a burden, are all forms of healing. Allow yourself time to think about situations that occurred that you need God’s answers on so that you can move on in a healthy manner.
As a woman, we have the tendency to not really allow ourselves adequate time to heal. We figure out life on the run, doing our best to balance test after test while going through the busy daily routines of life. However, when you live life this way, every day, the overflow of peace, love, grace and even smiles wears away.
Remember, it’s difficult to have anything to give when you are personally not full. It’s wise to build time in your day, some way, to allow yourself time to heal by yourself and before God. God has sent you His “Comforter”, the Holy Spirit, for this primary reason. Why? Because hurt people HURT people. BUT, healed people HEAL people. If your ultimate purpose according to God is to give Him glory (Isaiah 43:7), what better way to do that then to make sure you are ready for each day. Make sure you allow yourself time to heal today.
Foundational Scripture for Today: “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever…” John 14:15-16
